Aman Cara celebrates 10 years

On February 5th Anam Cara commemorates ten years of supporting bereaved parents in your community. We are very grateful to those of you who have forwarded on our emails to those parents who may need our support. Should you wish, Anam Cara North Dublin’s locally-based volunteers would be very happy at any point to call into your organisation to speak about our work and how we support bereaved parents in the community. In the meantime, we’d appreciate any help in getting the word out about our next event. Please note that this event is open to bereaved parents only. Anam Cara North Dublin, an organisation that supports bereaved parents, will hold its next monthly Parent Evening on Wednesday 17th of January from 7.30pm-9:00pm in the Carnegie Court Hotel, Swords, Co. Dublin. Anam Cara North Dublin offers a safe and comfortable setting where parents can ‘drop the mask’ and be among people who understand. This event is open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death, or whether the death was recent or not.  Our recent survey one of the parents commented “Being among people who are connected by the death of our sons or daughters helps.. None of us wanted to be in this group nor would wish it on others but the feeling of understanding – which doesn’t need to be verbally expressed – is a support. Everyone understands.” For more information see anamcara.ie or ring the Information Line on 085 2888 888.
