People's Choice category at the IFTAS

The 2011 Irish Film & television Awards (IFTAS) has announced nominations to honour and celebrate outstanding Irish creativity, talent and achievement; to encourage a high standard of arts and technique in work produced.

This year the Irish public have a chance to vote for a new People's Choice category at the IFTAS. The RTE GUIDE Best TV Moment of 2010, is a new category and the only category open to public vote in 2011.

One notable television moment in 2010 was the domestic abuse story line in RTE's Fair City, where Suzanne abused her husband Damien. This ground breaking storyline has been shortlisted as one of the RTE GUIDE Best TV Moments of 2010.
