Amen Support Service's Men's Health Evening

Amen Support Service is pleased to announce their first Men's Health Evening on Tuesday 13th September 2011 at 7pm in the Parish Rooms of St. Anne's resource Centre, Navan.

Amen Support Services Ltd is a non profit organisation, founded in December 1997, which provides support and a confidential helpline for male victims of domestic abuse. It is the only support service in Ireland specifically addressing the needs of men suffering silently and alone in abusive relationships.

The Men's Health Evening is organised to provide men with information on a variety of health related topics. Presentations will be given by:

The Marie Keating Foundation: Increase awareness and knowledge of cancer and issues related to it, to all sectors of the community.

Meath Community Drug & Alcohol Response: to ensure families and individuals experiencing difficulties with addiction are provided with appropriate support, advice and information.

Irish Heart Foundation: The Irish Heart Foundation is the national charity fighting stroke and heart disease. This September the Irish Heart Foundation's Heart Month Campaign will focus on men.

There will also be an opportunity for men to have their blood pressure checked and their co2 levels should they wish.
