Letters to Amen

Amen Support Services Ltd are looking for male victims of domestic abuse to submit their experiences, to assist with the compilation and publication of a new book written by victims for victims. The book will be used as a means to further highlight the plight of men in difficult family situations and also to encourage others to come forward and see that they are not on their own.

This book will be the second of its kind. 'Letters to Amen' was published five years ago and was found to be very useful in helping men in similar situations, as a learning tool for students and in changing the views of sceptics.

Amen provides a confidential helpline, information and support service for male victims of domestic abuse and their children.

Men who have contacted Amen tell of the physical, emotional and psychological abuse they encounter from their female partners. Many men also report that various kinds of false allegations have been made against them and that their children have been alienated from them.

Amen's services include:

If you have a story you would like to be included in the book, it can be sent through our website www.amen.ie, by email info@amen.ie or by post.

(All stories will be edited to protect the identity of the victim)
